Establishment Of the Company

Sunshine Construction a sole proprietorship business entity, came into be­ing in April 1984, and eventually evolved into a Private Limited Company in September 1993.

Since its inception the Company has set, as its primary target, scaling the heights in the construction sector and attain front position while at the same time spreading its area of undertakings into various business activities. Sustained hard work and conducive atmosphere have enabled the Company to build a reliable operational capacity and prove itself a dynamic force par­ticularly in the construction sector.

Sunshine has exerted towards filling the gap in the construction sector by fine-tuning its activities in line with the Country’s policy initiatives to satisfy the  growing demand in the sector.

The architect, the initiator and the proprietor of Sunshine -Ato Samuel Tafesse- once imparted his memory of how the Company takes off:-

“Since my childhood, I had a very strong aspiration to engage my­self in the construction field.  Fortunately, I happened to be brought up in a family where the idea and practice of construction was prevalent and that has greatly helped me in acquiring the basics of the profession.  This added to the formal education I obtained and the continuous experience from a level of local painter to a reg­istered contractor, gave birth to the realization of a construction company - so Sunshine Construction came into existence.”

The Company’s paid-up capital of ETB 50,000,000 (fifty million) is equally shared between
Mr. Samuel Tafesse and Mrs. Fetlework Elala. Managing Director Mr. Samuel Tafesse leads the Company’s overall activities while the D/Managing Director Mrs. Fetlework Elala presides over the activities of the affiliate businesses - Sunshine Beauty Salon & Laundry.
